    Audio editing software.

I need to remove one channel from a stereo audio file.

Anyone know of a piece of software that will do this. Preferably free as I only have to do it for the one file.

Or be able to remove one channel of sound from an mpeg2 file.

Goldwave seems to have done it, although it doesn't seem to want to output to Mpeg2 format, so have had to put it into MP3 which has made it bigger??? and then used headache to make an mpeg2 format bigger again?? and now have to blend it back with the picture

if you are trying to do some sort of dvd based format, id recommend tmpgenc for that. it will produce the mpeg2 formats you want. although its not free, there really are no free mpeg2/dvd authoring programs out there since it costs to license the codec.
