Orange alert, what a ****en load of ****.

only in america can we be content by making something like nuclear war into childlike colors.

Its a ******* joke for the simple reason that it was created with BLUE and GREEN and no intention of EVER using them.

The world is perpetually on "yellow" alert, and when something happens, it goes to "orange" and when something else happens it goes to "red". Wow we are such a smart society to come up with that ****.

Making a color chart now doesnt mean the world wasnt "in the yellow" before 9/11, it just woke up america to the reality of the REAL ENTIRE GLOBE and not just the NW hemisphere.

Well the US invented it and is actually using it. So I dont really care about colours (or colors if you prefer). The fact that some dickhead makes fun of such an attack makes me angry, and I hope that next time he uses a bus, his seat will blow up! Or better, his Girlfriends seat! OK I am angry now...

Terrorism seems to be commonplace yet the high level of outrage is always the same. It is tragic what happened in London today and I share the same sympathies as everyone else for those killed and injured. All this seems to be lost on 'CrassMoney' and it is particularly gaulling as he does not seem to feel it is appropriate to apologise for his comment.

We had a suspicious package alert in our town today which was destroyed by the authorities by carrying out a controlled explosion. The package was close to one of our nearby offices which was evacuated along with the adjacent railway station. That sort of thing kinda rams it home and makes you realise you don't have to live in a big city to be at risk.

Obviously 'CrassMoney' has had the luxury of being miles away from any of these events, perhaps he should count his blessings instead of posting ill-thought and offensive remarks.

In context he could have merely been making an intelligent but curt response to the OVERprotectiveness of todays societies. HIDE YOUR CHILDREN the ice cream man may be putting arsenic in the popsicles, or YOUR PRIEST may **** your son, or your teenage neighbor MIGHT be smoking dope, 1st world communities like US, UK and most all of the EU, are too paranoid for their own good. it is keeping us from moving forward as a race, while we contemplate why we dont get along.

Mmmm, not quite the response portrayed by the police and emergency services after the event. We have learned one thing from events like these hence why they managed to deal with this complicated situation whilst NOT instilling a sense of panic in the general public.

Thing is, everyone has been oh poor america, 9/11 is terrible but the fact of the matter is it does not matter how many poor people died. The fact that one person has been maimed or killed or scarred for life through terrorism is terrible and horrible and unecessary and a waste.....

Britain has lived with terrorism for decades. We've had embassy takeovers, the IRA, Lockerbie, attacks on British soil abroad etc etc.

while we are lucky to have never had an event as serious as 9/11 - and i hope no one ever goes through that again - we have had a sustained barrage. The bombing of the high street in Warrington and the Arndale centre in Manchester were no less terrible events. Infact those bombs were targetted at families out enjoying themselves unlike 9/11 which was designed to kill thousands but at the centre of it was a desire to attack the financial sector by destroying a symbol of wealth and business. the way they did it was just horrific. But for the person sitting next to that bomb on the bus or the people passing the bin in Warrington there is no difference between those small bombs and the people who were sitting in the window of the twin towers when a plane crashed into them.

It is all horrible and it saddens me to think that people can do this to other people. But then we all sit here and let hundreds if not sometimes thousands die in acts of terrorism in africa every day! Be they violent terrorism or economic terrorism because they simply cannot afford food.
Yep, I totally agree there. Nothing sadder than the day I saw planes fly into two buildings I'd physically seen in real life only two years priors. What really cheesed me off was the way Rumsfeld et al really milked the events of 911 - it was as if to say that no one in the world has ever suffered terrorism and if no one wants to invade Afghanistan then we're all against America.

Most major Western European countries have suffered major terrorist campaigns for the past 30 years - most people outside of Europe probably won't know about them - Red Brigade, November 17, IRA, ETA, just a few. Most people here probably won't remember how much physical damage the IRA caused - that **** was ****ed up, and it took over thirty years just to get a ceasefire. Now we're pretty much second to the U.S. on Al Qaeda's hitlist, and how long will THAT take to stop???

And just for the record, I think Cashmoney probably really regrets what he said. I'm certainly not condoning what he said, but his words, whilst wholly inappropriate, were not dissimilar to that of the sentiments conveyed by some journalists at the time of the World Trade Centre attacks. I think he should apologise and we should get on with thinking about those who've suffered losses today

In contrast to what has been said here, the 5000 inocent ppl killed in IRAQ ( and I am not talking about soldiers) is not different from the 37 killed in London and the 3000 killed in NY. They are all victims of terrorism. The only difference is that the the UK/US terrorism was "legal" and the AQ illegal.

Nevertheless, violence should stop. People should be listening and talking not making wars and terrorist acts!
