Organized Religion is just wrong. They all take a good idea & **** it up. However, God is forgiving, so it makes sense that in the eyes of Organized Religion that once the sin is confessed then all is forgiven...

See that's the whole thing most religions allow that behavior. If you ask for forgivness, then you are forgiven. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but that's how it is. So, if someone murder's another & then asks for forgiveness just before death, in theory that person will be forgiven and go to heaven (if there is a heaven). Sorry guy, that just how it is...

Once a murderer, always a murderer. Doesnt mean they will kill again. But they have what we in reality call "a record" and thusly cant change what theyve done, even if they feel "forgiven".

Those who only care about what GOD thinks of them, are selfish ****s.

Care about what society, people, your friends, your relatives, homo sapiens all around think. Not to say you should care what people think of you (dont base your actions on the possible thoughts of other people), but ignoring that the world finds your words/actions in poor taste (or in the case of racism, plain ol ****en ignorant) is asking for HELL in a handbasket.

I'm not one for religion, b/c I have yet to find one that I agree w/ 100%, so it is definitely not my religion.

However, I don't totally agree w/ your views. If you're a murderer, then that should follow you throughout life, but everyone is entitled to a 2nd chance. Same thing applies to someone who is a racist. Now I'm sure that those who attended that service will just go back to their racist ways, but for those who do make amends for the past, then forgiveness should be given. But not b/c they say "Look, I did bad, forgive me.", but b/c they say that & then try to make things better.

the real truth to forgiveness of your sins is only granted, if you change your ways(forever) to allow your self to be forgiven and to belive in it. Know what i mean. So who ever says this is another way, there is not. Its like someone doing something to you, and they say they are sorry and will never do it again. They can be forgiven for it, till they do it again. If you die when you are forgiven, but still have the intent on doing what is wrong, then you are not truely forgiven you are just understood by god and his judgement will be the last one you know of. So the only way to be forgiven is to read my first sentence. At least that is my opinion.

Im not racists i just dont like niggers and crackers. Meaning i dont like evil people. I guess niggers and crackers would be the right term for them?

i love this forum ... you guys always ***** every time someone says anything about religion because you say this isn't the place for it (which it isn't). So it's not ok for someone to talk about how they live by/accept/simply respect a certain religion ... but it's ok for you to say how much you hate it?

I am sure glad you are not GOD, we all would be doomed. You are right though, it doesn't make it any less real, important, factual or intense. The bible never claims it does. Forgivness is not forgetting it happend or playing down the event.
