Now, if we could get fifth gear here, that would be tight.

My friend has Satelite TV, he gets 5th Gear, Top Gear, and lots and lots of Racing that is only shown in the EU but never gets shown here because those cars actaully turn left, right, and brake.

Makes me want to get satelite just for the racing coverage.

have you notice the quantity of adverts shown on UK tv compared to your US? id rather pay the £120 a year tax then watch that crap

Who watches that crap. But 250 american dollars to watch TV, DAMN, I can get Cable or Satelite for about that. Don't think it changes the amount of commercials though.

ahhh but...it is the £120 that makes Top Gear, it also provides us with probably the best TV channels in the World and which means that ITV and Channel 4 stations have to keep up (or try to) with the standard. We now get a whole load of TV channels and we have always had a load of Radio stations that are all actually decent and now we have free DAB.

We can buy satellite or cable if we want.

We do get fifth gear, its on SpeedTV.
But it airs at the most stupid times, 7:30am, so I don't get to watch it much.

I get it on cable, but its digital cable, so I'm not sure if basic cable carries the channel. I also got it on dish as well.
