Not entirely true! He has never had a good thing to say about MG Rover which was the only real mainstream car manufacturer left in the UK until it went under recently.

Top Gear is a national motoring institution in the Uk for any proper petrol head.
IIRC we are on the 4th season of the new 1hr shows. And the second Stig, which incidentaly I think is Damon Hill, ex F1 driver.

I missed it this sunday due to a BBQ at a mates house, and tonights repeat due to work

I think Jeremy Clarkson (Jezza) is top, not always right but his dry sarcastic humour tickles me. And for me, the trio of Jezza, Richard Hammond (the little guy) and James May is perfect.

The only thing they cheese me off about is not doing any features about things like MP3CAR.com or owners clubs and modding etc. They class car modding as what the kids do to a Citroen Saxo on McDonalds carparks late at night - Big Spoilers, Big wheels, Big exhaust, all pose and no substance. Not Clubs like sxoc.co.uk who have developed their own ECU chips and regularly do track days and RR meets etc.

I wanna see a modded S14a 200sx go up against something like a Porsche or BMW M3 that costs 5times more and yet still gets its arse kicked.

The powerlaps also serve as a reasonable comparisson of a cars performance with other cars as its same driver/ same track etc. Not just a guy saying 'this car is quick'.

Enough crap from me now, just gutted I missed TG - AGAIN!!!

Dude how many episodes have you missed! Damon Hill was on TG recently and emphatically denied being The Stig.

Mind you he could be lying.

he could be but stig seems to be a bit of a shortie guy (or girl- could be VBH) and damons a lanky thing

Whats the last episode all about where theres that little guy driving the viper and this german girl driving a van. The van is well up his arse or something?

Are they saying the van is a good as the viper or what?

Yeah man - I went to see them win 1-2 at Silverstone about 8 weeks back - the ******* noise is incredible! Had an old acquaintance who works for them and provided a free ticket....

Also visited the pits too! Then afterwards we got to watch the World Touring Car Championships with Zanardi et al, then the Ferrari challenge to top it off
