I agree, it seems all emo bands sound exactly the same. I don't know if i'll keep goldfinger around, its getting on my nerves.
I admit a lot of the new Lostprophets stuff is emo but the old stuff is pretty decent hardcore.
As far as U2 goes, most isn't reall hardcore but thers one or two albums that are alright.

been in to hard rock/metal for a while. About a year ago I started listening to OPETH....I never used to be able to tolerate the 'death metal' type vocals, but the music these guys make is just phenomenal! and the vocals seem to grow on u as the singer has the ability to switch between a vicious satanic growl to the most beautiful melodic voice.
If anyone is interested in checking them out and they don't particularly like death metal vocals, I would definately suggest u start with some newer albums eg. 'Blackwater Park,' or 'Deliverance.'............or even 'damnation'(fully melodic/acoustic album....no growling)

When I hear most people say it, it's meant to insult the song, like it has no value to it.

There are a rare few that say it's mainstream just to mean that it's played on the radio.

Welcome back, by the way. I heard why you left a while ago. What makes you think we'll be any better this time around?
