yeh, I work next to the wtc in new york. there is a bomb scare right now. probably just someone who left a duffle bag full of bootleg dvds...however, when you have tvs on all day with the news reporting from london, this office definitely gets nervous.

i heard they were just little kids that didnt know what they were doing, and the only person that got hurt was one of the ppl that detonated one of em... but then that was a rumour where i work, so god knows if its true

Looks like it was the same kind of thing, the police say maybe from the same batch but the bombs were all broke in some way.. The criminals (the police aren't calling them terrorists any more 'It is a criminal act, they are criminals') apparently were just standing around looking dismayed, one of them started shooting whatever was in his bag to make it go off. Then they all just legged it, in a few cases the bystanders chased them to catch them, though it looks like they all got away.

Proves one thing to us... They're a bunch of pussies! Surely if they were willing to die for their cause, they would be willing to stand around and take imprisonment for it too. Or maybe they will take it as a 'sign of god' not to do it anymore.. though I doubt it as there people aren't actually religious they are just brainwashed.

I think next time it happens everyone will be be ready to beat **** out of them if it doesn't go off.

The big problem is there is no way to tell who they are in advance... On the train to work in the morning there are people of all races, most carrying bags or wearing rucksacks. If people start accusing one another then the criminals will get what they want - we won't be a free society anymore. best thing seems to be to just get on with it and hope for the best.

Looks like that poor bastard they shot on the tube was innocent... Three plain clothes officers pinning one guy down, with another 20 armed officers in pursuit just behind, pumped five ******* bullets into him - if he'd been guilty, then at least keeping him alive would have been the more sensible option

Yeah, you have to think that police here don't normally carry guns - if three guys in plain clothes pulled a gun on a me and started chasing me, I think I'd ******* run too. As for five shots to the head; there's just no need

So they thought this guy was a terrorist - what did they do? They followed him all the way from his house/a house all the way to inside a tube station before challenging him - if they had the power to shoot at will, they could've at least stopped him on the street. I mean, let's face it - it's not like pulling an asian-looking guy for a stop and search would look out of place on the streets of London.....
