I need to know ASAP please

Hi,
My electric window motor has been recently subject to a little h2o...window seal gone. I am wondering, since the motor hasn't actually burnt out or short circuited, that when it dries out it will work? Will it?

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't provided that there was no current to it when it was wet. IMHO and occasional experience it should be okay if you make sure all the moisture is dried out thoroughly before you allow power to it.

It should be just fine. I've got a motor for something else wet and after I let it dry out for a day it worked.

Make sure you check the motor bearing/gear/mechanism for trace of rust...whatever you can see that might cause problems later. Just reoil/grease it.

Jsut dont be so impatient with the motor. Give it a good couple of days to dry out and it should be fine. Its just like when you spill something on a remote control - let it fry for a few days and it willbe fine.
IVe had whole computers submerged before. Just let it dry, and it will be no prob.

THREADJACK! (But slightly on topic)
Diagnose this: Window doesn't roll down. But lights on the drivers switches dim (like normal) when that window is toggled. What's wrong?
The dimming would imply that the motor is getting juice & the circuit is intact. That is assuming that the motor is wired through the switch - if it isn't, why would the lights dim? So, what can go bad with auto windows? Is it most often the motor, or do parts commonly rust/freeze?
What should I expect before I crack the door open?
PatO:
most often the motor has siezed. After that, the scissors that move the window up and down.

and the lights dimming would follow that same idea - the motor is soaking up much more current trying as hard as it can to move.
