there was an episode of the animated dilbert series where he invented the "tomeato" to solve the food shortage issue in Elbonia, which resulted in failure.. lol

Only the future knows where we're headed with this one, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this type of meat for sale in the supermarket it in another 10-20 years.. we have processed cheese-food-stuff, so why not this.

hey, at least the poor can look forward to their "gubment meat" now as well..
