find the evaporating temparature of acetone and the denatonium benzoate , if the denatonium benzoate is lower then you can evaporate it out of the acetone, or if the acetone is lower than you would need to evaporate it and condense it.

Is it going to be updated in this thread, or is there a thread or site dedicated to it? Let me know Eric, or I might have to PM you!

I have some pure acetone, brand is Sunnyside. I bought it at a hardware store, Do it Best hardware. 16FL. oz for $3.29

I believe pure Acetone can be purchased at most hardware supply stores in the paint section, homedepot, lowes, ACE, etc.
As for myself, I am gathering parts to make my own ethanol. My Sierra is a flex fuel vehicle so it can run on E85 fuel (85% ethanol, 15% gas)

It didnt work for me, 500 miles continuous on his recommended acetone mix, mileage and fillups documented to the mile/litre .... saw no perceptable increase with supermarket petrol.

Have now worked out my baseline, will try again with branded fuel soon.

That sounds really stupid to me, the European cars are about as efficient as Asian cars and some domestics. Gas prices are determined by the price of oil barrels and taxes... or so I hear.

Our fuel isn't higher ocane, it's marketed differently. We use the RON rating at the pumps, whereas in the US it's (RON+MON)/2.

So for something like Shell Optimax which is marketed as 98 RON, it would be around (98+85)/2...91.5 in the US. I say around, because the petrol companies don't really like to tell you the MON rating.
