Hey that was a good buy.

The saab should be a good car. Give it a servive and check eveything over and it should do well over 200k miles. That is what we see them do over here. The body may be falling apart but they just keep going. Well the old ones did anyway. They should also handle pretty good. I do remember by ex went on a business trip with one of the women from work who had one and she didnt like it much but she was odd and I think she complained at the interior and getting her hair blown everywhere.

    miserable *****

The interior is very industrial but that is because SAAB try to play on their aerospace background. The ign key should be on the centre console between the seats which is a bit odd but i think most people prefer it after a while.

when i worked in white plains my boss had a 9 3 I used to drive alot, (think it was an 01) it was turbo'ed and really felt fast when the turbo kicked in. It also handled very well. She drove alot and it had 70-80k or so miles on it back then (02 or 03) and i remember that the car sounded like it was was going to fall apart everytime I hit a bump driving it, did not seem like it was built very well and the ny roads took a toll on it. I think hers might have been built after saab got bought out though, I think she also beat the **** out of it.

on a 70-80k mile anything, the difference between hitting bumps & feeling like it's going to fall apart & feeling normal can be struts/shocks & a little front end work..... night & day difference sometimes.....

I did ask the owner how it drove... he's a car guy & he says it drives nice.... very quite for a convertible...smooth & comfortable so he says......he did put money into the car while he owned it, the brakes & tuneup are recent.... everything works fine... he did have a few bugs that he ironed out... I won't know really untill I take it out for a blast...convertibles are always a little loose & noisey...... if it's crap then I'll just dump it

yeah scouse, I have heard bad things about electrical issues with these... hope it's not as bad as a jaguar!!!!!!!! & btw, that laptop base, I got a paypal buyback garrentee for $12 more, just in case.... not bad for under $230 to my door with a buyback garentee for a pentium m board w/1.6 processor... should make a good carpc I think.... I'll add two 256 sticks for next to nothing on ebay & a 20 gig laptop drive I have laying around.....
