    Firefox Extension...

Hey.... what is your favorite firefox extension?

I just found one that is AMAZING! It is called "Fasterfox".... It basically optimizes some settings, but most cool of all: it "pre-fetches" the links from the page you are visiting, effectively cacheing all links from your current page, so when you click on a link it is already cached....

very cool! just fount it and it does speed things up a lot!

I also have the Forecastfox one... basically weather info in the menu bar (since the menus occupy only about 1/4 of my screen width it is great!)

Which ones do you guys like? (I have colorzilla and a few others but the two above are the nicest ones imo)

all-in-one gestures (control browser via mouse gestures)
google preview (shows page preview on google search)
download statusbar (aggregates downloads in the browser instead of a separate window)

    bugmenot (fills in reg forms)
IE View (open links in IE if necessary)

What a question. I like all that I use, but to prioritize the top five:

    1. InfoRSS - Displays RSS and Atom headlines in the status bar

    2. SessionSaver w/SnapBack Tab - Magically restores your last few browsing tabs and resumes Firefox with all open tabs same as when you close it

    3. FoxyTunes - Control any media player from FireFox

    4. QuickNote - A notetaking extension with advanced features

    5. Super Drag and Go - drag a link and throw it anywhere to open new tabs

InfoRSS keeps me abreast of new posts here.

Session Saver has become taken for granted more than I care to admit - I realize I have changed the way I surf knowing I don't have to save every link in my favorites, I just leave the ones I use the most open all the time. And SnapBack Tab has rescued me from myself many times when I inadvertently close a tab and later want to reload it.

FoxyTunes reminds me of my CarPC front-end since I arrange all my open windows to never cover the status bar of my browser, I always have media controls readily accessable.

Quicknotes is just that. I hate going through the start menu to open notepad to cut and paste from an open window or browser page. Quicknotes simplifies this task immensely. It allows up to 4 windows, can be tabbed or floating, individual windows can be named, saved, opened, etc -- better than Post-Its.

The last extension is purely lazy support. Drag down opens new tab in the background, drag up opens new tab in the foreground and much, much more. Great for touchscreens.

Grease Monkey is great (if a little slow). There are a ton of ready made scripts out there, so if there is a popular website that does something annoying, someone has probably already made a script to 'fix' it.

GCache - Shows the google cache for a page or a link, very handy when a page is down temporarily.

IEView (and Firefox view for IE) for easily jumping back and forth between browsers.

Favorites Sync - Uploads your favorites to your own ftp server (or thiers with a donation) so you can sync them with all your computers (and IE if you install a background app). I move between computers a lot and it used to drive me nuts trying to remember which one i had the bookmark on).

    miniT - drag tabs around

plain text links - right click on plain text that forms a url to open it like a link

    |V1 Virtual Display|

Hard work often pays off over time, laziness always pays off right now.

FYI, You can actually enable that without a plugin by going to the config screen. I forget the option name.

    Extensions I use...
    Adblock
    IE View
Disable Targets for Downloads (no blank windows from saving stuff)
    ScrapBook (Lets you mirror pages)
    GreaseMonkey
    FlashBlock
MediaPlayerCOnnectivity (can open video in the player instead of embedded so you can resize etc)
    downThemall! (Spider)
