The pricing is most likely correct. However, and it is hard for me to compare it in a way for a South African to understand, but it is like getting land in the Serengeti for cheap. Ya, it is cheap, but there is NOTHING around for miles. There is no utilities, like elecricity, sewers, water, garbage, no roads (well, paved at least, there appear to be dirt roads http://www.unitedlandsales.com/catal...22/1516644.htm) no fire, police or ambulance services near by. No shooping, no supermarkets, NOTHING.

I think you are looking at the wrong thing.
The $100, $200 figures are NOT what the land costs.

Not sure anyone thought it was 100 bucks for land, but, 9 grand for 1.25 acres is REALLY CHEAP. http://www.unitedlandsales.com/page/page/1412022.htm

Depends on location, around here, land costs are between 3000 - 30,000 per acre. Land prices vary, sometimes even in close proximity.
