Sounds exactly like the kid I was talking about, except that mine insisted that he made the actual silicon chips in his basement.

You should invite the kid over to this forum....would make an amusing distraction in Off-Topic...

"Oh, and the first day I met him, he told me he had a 486 IBM ps/2 at him (real computer)"

I got one of those sitting in my room right now. It makes a good word proccessor.

With the 215 meg HD, 4 megs RAM, 486 33MHz, it runs great...

    Yeah, I have 2 386 ps/2s, they're huge.

On a note closer to the topic,
I once had a really stupid "friend" who thought he was a computer geek. I once saw him put a cd in a cdrom upside down, when I said something, he said his worked that way ;-) He also once told me he made dry ice at home. I asked him how he said that you make liquid CO2 then freeze it in your freezer.

Ha Ha, I have been very careful NOT to call him my friend, I think he wants to be my friend, but I really wish he would leave me alone..

I don't want to be mean to him though, because thats wouldn't be very nice..

SkinnyBoy: If you don't want him to be your friend, tell him nicely. Give him 3 nice letdowns, getting a little sterner each time. If after the third time he still will not leave you alone, tell him one final time, but be quite mean and angry. Works everytime. Be a jerk if you have to.

lstrunk: He must have a good fridge to be able to get to -75oC . And of course, as far as I know, CO2 does not exist in a liquid state. Funny how some people will lie about almost everything to be accepted...
