    personally I think that using an inverter to power a CARPUTER is kinda stupid...
    But that is only my opinion, which no-one listens too anyway...

    ever hear of money issues where it's cheaper to buy an inverter?

    $20 for an inverter and $80 for a dc-dc is a big difference.

    Make a DC-DC supply, if you know how...
    you can get most of the expensive bits as "free samples"
