    I can't switch to a dual-proc. pc
The pc has already been bought and the youth centre doesn't have something like unlimited funds.

I think 1,8ghz would be more than enough to play mp3z and divx/dvd. I only have to get this working.

I think the difficult part would be setting the different appz using a different screen.
But I'll have to see how it works out.

    Thanks for the input.

Why exactly are you buying such an expensive computer? I have a p2 400, and it plays Divx and mp3s fine. And with a decoder, I could play DVDs aswell. My moms p3 500 plays them just fine in Software. I don't like people who think they need the fastest computer just to do every day things.
I recently read in Maximum PC magazine, and somebody wrote in about a Power Supply on a p2 266mhz. They repeatedly wrote about how ancienct it was, and how they were afraid to take it apart because it was so old! Its only maybe like 3 years old.

Why exactly are you buying such an expensive computer?
First off all, If I would have bought it I would buy something cheaper.

We had an older computer first (a P1 200mmx with 8,4g hd) but this thing got old and broke down.
So the youth-centre decided we needed something new.
I said cool, I'll go somewhere and pick up some cheap stuff with a really big hd and we are good to go.
    But,
The head off our youth-centre said he wanted something which already has been assembled. I told him I could do it cheaper and maybe even better than some companies. But he didn't want to argue with me about that. He said: "you've tried to fix it a year ago, it worked for a year, but now we need something else".
I couldn't convince him that there was no need for a brand-new 'high-end'-pc, but he insisted to buy something new.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with this new pc. It has more features I could even dream off and to be honest, If I would have setup the system there wouldn't be this much features.

But now that it has these features I want to take advantage of it. It would be very sad if this machine is only used to play mp3s.

Another thing is that the youth-centre was able to get money from the government to buy a new pc. To make a long story short, This way was going to take too long for us to get a computer, and in the end we would still be paying more (even with the money from the government) for the same computer, because we would have to buy it from some specialized store which will be a lot more expensive than this bargain.
