I read a short blip about this on MSN news a week or two ago. It is a concept car... so who knows what engine will make it to production... but it seems like the concept had the same engine as the corvette.

And I dont' think that article mentioned anything about drive train, but I thought I remember hearing several years ago that the camaro would come back as a front wheel drive car. I didn't like that at the time... but GM did FWD on caddies with northstar V-8's... and now the '06 impala SS and Grand Prix GXP are FWD with some pretty torquey and powerful v-8's. We'll see how well they survive.

My opinion on the Body: It just doesn't say "Camaro" to me. It says "2004 Mustang." And if there wasn't a bowtie on the grille and I saw this thing driving quickly toward me.... well looking at the front of it it looks like a cadillac.

Still not too bad looking though.

That's funny, I was thinking something similar. It looks like a cadillac worked over to resemble a mustang.
