    How did you blow them??
I wouldn't know, but they probably wouldn't be the same if they were recoiled..

well , out of pure Stupidity ..thats how i blew the tweeters
    my first time conecting speakers
got them froma friend ( ie no documentation)
i just conected the Tweets to a line coming from the cross over..
    hmm what r these big black box's 4 ?
i found out ,that tweets need the caps 2 prevent them from "blowin"

does any1 know if recoil is BaD ??

No , did not hear them "blow" but they just stopped playin &
tested them with a voltage meter:
ie normaly speakers hav 4 ohm resistance
when blown it is much higher .
the tweets resistance was like 12-15 ohm's

due to the fact that the coil's got melted

    or so im told
but basicaly ,i know they'r fcked

Wouldn't the resistence of the speakers be less or open circuit??
If the coils melted together it would be less, and if you coils melted through, but didn't touch, it would be open circuit..??
    Right???
