Here's an idea, route an output from your airconditioning straight to the engine air intake![]()
cold air intake is just getting the air from somewhere other than the damn hot engine bay. but you have to be careful you dont let water and other crap get in there. Oh and hot exhausts from other cars if you are sitting in traffic jams - ie no big intakes sticking a foot out the bottom of your bumper

I disagree... A pipe is a pipe no matter what brand it is. As for the actual filter element, yeah, I'd go with K&N also.Originally Posted by DarquePervert
You can make the pipes yourself. Just check on the diameter on the throttle body (where the current intake goes to right now, mounted somewhere atop the engine), check the MAS/MAF sensor (it should be after the filter, a box with about 8 wires connected to it) and see if it could be fitted with an adapter (check on eBay or Pepboys). Then run another pipe from that adapter to some place in the front of your car where you think cold air is coming, put a 3 or 3½" filter right there.
Two important rules:
Make sure the filter isn't sitting too close to the ground because you do NOT want rainwater (or such) coming in.
Make sure there aren't any air leaks and that the MAS/MAF is not bypassed in any way.
For pipes I'd check a local exhaust shop... Plus they have a welder on site who could help you the pipes together and bend them at the right angles.
Have fun!
