i got a chance to drive a viper once. this was when they were just a year or so old. no coupes, just the canvas roofs, sidepipes, removable windows, etc. i was only 16 at the time, so it was definitely cool. unfortunately, i never got out of second gear since i only drove it around town.
my dad took it out on the blue route here in southeastern pa. he had it at 120mph in third gear, leaving 3 more forward gears to go.
unbelievabley, the guy that lent it to my dad for the day let someone else use it a few months later. he totaled it.
i also got a chance to drive a 98 porsche 911 and some 80's ferrari. both nice cars, but nothing beats that viper. the only thing that comes close to it for raw acceleration that i have ever driven is my 468ci '67 camaro.

I will have to second the DeLorean. I believe it to be one of the most unique cars ever produced by man. I once saw a DeLorean with a Cadalac Northstar V8 mounted in it at a car show. Man, was that SWEET.
Either the DeLorean or a Lotus Esprite V8 Twin Turbo.
Truck choice - Hummer (yes, call me "victim")
Car choice - McLaren F1

I would most definately have to say a Hummer.
They have this huge panel next to the driver for putting stereos, etc. in, and I would put everything from a Stereo, EQ, scanner in.
I would want the biggest tires you could find. Leather upholstry, and the whole rear. would be nothing buy 12" Subs. Nothing beats a 400mile cruising Range + secondary fuel tank for an extra 400 miles. And its diesel, which is usually cheaper than gas.
If I couldn't get one of those, I would go with a 2002 Suburban. Fully loaded.
I'm not much into sports cars.
If I couldn't get an SUV, I would have to go with a 2002 Lincoln Continental, Moon Roof, leather, and the biggest Amp I could fit in the trunk.
Mmmmm, Ferarri 360 spider.

However, in the realm of realism, A 1995 Toyota MR2 Turbo. 220 HP turbo 4cyl, rear engine, RWD, Fun :D These can be had for $10-15K

well, I would have a hard time choosing nr2. nr1 for me, is a cadillac '59 convertible. surprised no-one mentioned this one. I've been in love with those for as I long as I can remember.
for nr2... well if it has too be a new car it's a aston martin vanquish...poeh what a car... If it doesn't well take your pick e-type, xk140, xk120 (convertibles) '58 ford skyline.. any american car build between 1950-1960 for that matter.
I don't know really I a real car-nutter, any car would do, as long as it has a personality, would want a car everybody drives think that goes for all of us here.
to keep it short... caddy'59!
well mine is a NISSAN 180SX SR20DET 5 spd manual, red, and mp3'ed. and i get to drive it every day. cheap, reliable, and fast..
o-100 Kmh 6 sec. 14.2 1/4 , before any mods ;-)))))
A hummer sounds good to me
