I used to think it was kind of dumb... but it is addictivly entertaining to watch the people that are 100% sure they are the next american idol and yet they either can't remember their lyrics or they are completly tone deaf.
I'm not making fun of people that are tone deaf or are forgetful... but I would think they they would realize that BEFORE going to the audition. I would rather my parents tell me in my living room that I suck at singing than having Simon Cowel tell me I suck on national TV.
But I also like to see the really good ones at their auditions too.
Anyway, now that I've joined my church choir (a year ago), I for some reason like to watch the later stages of the show, when it gets down to 12 people or whatever it is, and watch all their performances and analyze them.
I want to see somebody sing some Tenacious D songs on there. If someone would pay for my plane tickets and hotel stay... I would seriously go audition for next season and sing Wonderboy.
