Thread: anyone tried the vex robot kit

I played with it, and was halfway impressed. It's sort of a cross between a high end rc car, and an erector set. The price is pretty steep though. $300 for the kit, and a remote. It's a pretty good remote, but the basic kit isn't all that impressive. Adding the programming package makes its really cool, but also $100 more. Add some sensors, and you are looking at a pretty high end price tag, but also some pretty cool functions.

Overall, it's expensive, and but if you add the sensors, a pretty neat intro to robotics.
