    That's what I do on all of our HP Deskjet/OfficeJet printers that have cartridge issues. Usually fixes the problem...

    Yeah, the things that get the ink from the cartridge and put it on the paper.

    ok... I cleaned out the things with compressed air. Now the printer says that the magenta cartridge is out. **** it.

    OK, no one said to use compressed air AFAIK.....
