Thread: help with printer

People....get a laser printer for black & white printouts. You can get a good samsung for 50$ after rebates. You will laugh at inkjets after you use it. Grayscale is good too. If you need to print color get an inkjet too and only use it for color stuff...or copy shop. Inkjets are a scam with their cartridges...that is why they give you a free printer when you buy a computer.

Ahaha, you f**ked it up. The head needs to be primed. It has to have ink in it all the time. You'll have to figure it out, usually you can do it thru the software, but you may have ****ed up the heads by using compressed air. They're sensitive man... lol. I imagine if it did work when you were done, it would just POUR the ink onto the page. Compressed air + printheads = no bueno.

No. Actually, after I did the compressed air, something came out on the page. It just looked like crap, 1/2 the line was missing in the middle.

Use the utilities that came with your printer and clean the heads several times.

Epson printers are evil. They won't let you do that unless all of the cartriges are full. And I do not want to go and get $35 in cartridges and still have it not work. I already spent $35 on the black cartrige, which I do not know if I'll be able to return.

I recently had trouble with an Epson printer that sat for a few months without being used. I called Epson. It was out of warranty. I shipped it to them, and they fixed it for free and sent it back. The other option they gave me was $XX off a new printer.
