Thread: Having this problem on Ebay - Please help.

The first question that springs to mind is did the money leave your account? If so I'd contact bill point, to see if the seller has been paid, and then if he has been paid talk to ebay to see where you stand.

However if his email address has suddenly stopped working I'd say something fish is about. Again talk to ebay on this one.

Whats the email address should i use to send email to ebay? i looked around and couldnt find anything that relates to problems like this.
The money has been transfered from my accout i know that... So i guess i could contact the billpoint and tell them about this problem.

Do you think i can also tell them about my first set of network cards that i never received? it been nearly 10 months now.

If it's the same bloke and you've paid him both times I'd definatley let bill point know, also let them know that you have bank statements and the like, showing that the money has gone out (if you'd rather not use bank statements then the bank should be able to erite you a letter saying that the money has been paid)

As for email addresses I can't help you I'm afraid, search around and use the closest address you can find.

I just resolved a similar problem about an hour ago.
DETAILS:
I bought an LCD pager remote start car alarm after following a link in an auction on Ebay. I was very wary of buying it because I was afraid that I was going to get shafted--the guy would get my money and then dissappear. I checked it out before I bought. The email that the guy had on his website was invalid (like your situation) and the phone number he listed was one of those that is ALWAYS busy, but not because anyone is using it. I bought it only after I knew I could sic the sheriff on him if he didn't send it. It was a very professional looking website, except for the fact that I had to pay with PayPal. That was 3 weeks ago.

I checked my customer account information on the website and it showed that he had recieved payment about 2 weeks ago but had not shipped it yet. I tried to email him about 5 times with no reply using the form on the web site. After going to www.whois.net and looking up the person who registered the 3 domain names that I was dealing with (adtrek.com, kytec.com, and bulkrelay.com) I tried to email him again today using the form. The message went something like this:
"I have tried calling, emailing, and checking the website. If I dont hear something from you by this friday about my order, I will be forced to call the FBI and the VA State Police and file charges for Interstate Mail Fraud against NAME of ADDRESS, CITY, Virginia, whose phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. PLEASE CALL ME NOW! My Cell phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX."
WITHIN AN HOUR the guy called me, assured me that it would be shipped in the morning, and gave me a tracking number. This happened roughly an hour ago.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Figure out some way to get the guy's name (I dont know how billpoint works, but one of my methods was to see who owned the domain that I sent the PayPal eCheck to--ie sales@bulkrelays.con). Then try to call him or reach him in some way. When you do, demand a tracking number and tell him you will call the FBI, InterPol, etc. if you are not satisfied. If he claims he has not recieved payment, tell him you have reciepts and electronic records of the transaction, and wish him luck in prison.

I can investigate this for you if you email me with as MUCH information as possible (forward his emails as attachments--these are VERY useful). I track people for fun

Have you ever tried finding info about yourself on the net? It's alot of fun, especially if a search engine picked up on your site!

A little off topic, but I always search myself on the Net. Also friends, ex's, etc. It's an interesting activity to do when you're bored, but sometimes you find out things you'd wish you didn't know.

I can find info on myself really easily on the internet, I have such a non-used last name. I have found only one person who I didn't know that had my last name, and I do know that he is related to me somehow. I think it was that my great grandfather or great great grandfather had 2 families...

I typically search the net once a month to see how easy it is to find me. I try to delete any entries that come up (I like my anonymity )
