    Notebook video driver question

    Hey guys,

I've got a Compaq Presario machine that's about 4 years old. It came installed with WinXP but I had to wipe the hard drive. I put Win 2000 on it for space saving reasons but the webite for teh computer only has video drivers available for XP.

Any thoughts on how I can update the video driver for Win2000? Anyone know of a compatable driver for another product that might work?

    Specifically it's a Compaq Presario 702US

Eh, try and use the XP driver, it's not that different. Who knows, it may just work. I would try that first before wasting a lot of time on it.

    Try RevFE
The best resurrected frontend I've ever used, period.

I'd say try the XP driver. I had a sound card once that only had drivers available for XP, and I used them with Win98. Getting the drivers actually installed took some work, but once they were there the sound card worked alright.
Old plans out the window because of an accident .
