If you read my other post, That doesn't matter. It's not the seller's fault that you let it sit there for so long. It's your responsibility. Grow up, suck it up and drive on.

Does it have the gold plated connectors?

    yup
Does it work? My last audigy 1 card died on me for now reason.

    haha, yes it works fine
Found this on a backup CD. Good thing I save all of my PMs

So yeh, he said it works. Before you say anything, no, I am not confusing my dead audigy with his. His had gold plated connecters, while the dead one had just plastic ones. The computer refuses to even boot with the dead one. The computer does not recognize greenman100's audigy at all.

Lets try to keep this thread clean of comments by adults acting as 13 year olds. I kept my posts in the old thread clean of cursing, and its a shame that members on these forums cannot do the same in return.

I voted as I stated in the other thread. 30 days is the maximum.

Also, this thread is to see what the majority of the members of this board deem DOA to mean without a specified time. Please keep this thread on topic.

My post basically says that besides the DOA warranty he offered, he also said the card works [period]. So we can stop the whole discussion of what DOA means. This makes life much simpler, doesn't it?

Well according to two polls, you took too long to contact the seller and are not entitled to a refund. This of course is based of the options of the majority of members here that have taken part in one or both of the polls. If the seller decides to refund your money, he has gone above and beyond any obligation.

The polls were not conducted in a scientific manner. There is a certain way that a poll has to be strucutred. As I did not get a say in the first post, it is automatically bias towards its creator.

How do you think the NY times gets weird poll numbers about Bush? One poll I remember they asked "Do you think the president is always truthful, sometimes truthful, or never truthful". In the actual article, they decided to add the sometimes truthful and never truthful numbers and editorialize accordingly. Obviously the president can't be always truthful, as he is briefed daily with classified information.

Actually, he said that the card worked when he was getting ready to send it to you, not that it would work after you had had it for three months. Of course, you say that you didn't damage the card, but since we have already established that you are a liar, how can anything that you say be trusted?

I am not accusing you of breaking the card. Nor accusing the seller of sending you a piece of crap. For all we know, the card could have been broken in shipping, quite possibly due to packaging. The fact remains that it is now three (two, whatever, longer than DOA means) months later, and the seller is not obligated to help you out. It is a fact you need to learn to deal with. If you want a superior return policy then next time buy your computer parts (or anything else) from a retailer and not a private party.

BTW: I contacted him at exactly two months. Not three. I do not know were he got that number from.

Several months is way too long for "no DOA". DOA stands for "dead on arrival", not "dead on 3 months later after it's been sitting on your desk"

With all due respect, I feel that is too long for my "no DOA" guarantee. I don't understand why you wouldn't have tested the sound card by now.

For all I know, you are lying to me, or have broken it....several months is far too long to expect a full refund, I would say.

I am sorry to hear it didn't work out for you.

Not three months, but two months. I just checked his assumption that it was 3 months, and guess what? He could not subtract 10-22-05 from 12-22-05
