I have the Pro package already, but I didn't know the price dropped to $18 a month (realistcly around $21/mo).
Now I know whom I'm gonna call first thing in the morning (no, not you Raf ).

There's always SBC/Yahoo DSL for cheap. Doesn't DSL still disconnect after some time? I don't think that would work well for incoming calls anyway.

i have just cable internet from comcast.. bastards charge 60 bucks a month! but i'm up at 9mbps so i'm still doin the do.

I talked with both my DSL company and a competing cable company.
I'm still under contract until the end of March; so no Vonage until then for sure.
SBC/AT&T still don't have a "naked DSL line," altough the two customer service represantatives have told me that it's coming up. One said she had many customers ask her about it, and estimates to have bare DSL lines available by the end of this year.
The cheapset cable internet I could find was $25/mo. for 768KB/s (too low for me), or ~$42/mo. for 5MB/s (too expensive for me).
I might end up with a 6 month contract with my current DSL provider and save about $5/mo.. Then, dedicated DSL lines would hopefully be available and I could switch to VoIP by 2007.

Wow. I'd pay that for 9Mbps! I get 3.6~4.0M for $35. No way to go higher yet. DSL here is $50 for 1.5M but all I got was 256K. Blah!
