did u figure it out?
hes having trouble converting his dvd .vob file into mpg format. rob....why do u need it in mpg format? and why are u using dvd shrink? just use a program called dvd ripper? I got it right here if you need it, lets u copy the .vob files onto your hard drive then convert them, tell me what you need to do and i can do it.
It's hard to know what you're getting at with the lack of details, but I'll take an odd stab at this.
I had a problem recently where all my video was cropped. It turned out my new Nvidia card for some reason had Zoom set up in the Overlay control panel. This resulted in half of all the video not getting displayed. So I thought it was cropping the frames, but in reality, it wasn't, just not showing all of it.
It was my first Nvidia and the ATI cards I've owned didn't have any comparitive function so it took me a bit to figure it out.
Try ISOBuster from www.isobuster.com
Either mount the ISO file using Alcohol120% or similar, or burn it and work from the new disc.
ISOBuster will show you the contents of the disc, inc those elusive .vob files.
Have you still got the dvd?
If so download DVD Decrypter.
Click Mode>IFO then the disc contents will show up in the movie window on the right.
Select the appropiate PGC item, probably the biggest, then select chapters etc below.
Then click the big DVD button on the bottom left. It will take about 1/2 hour to rip a movie to your HDD. Then you can play with the .vobs to your heart's content.
I can't remember more, it's been a couple of years since I really did much in this field, but a good site full of useful guides and software is www.doom9.org
WinRar will also extract files from an .ISO
