    black looks better, also do what boris said, put a protective sheild over the, it will look better and more stock and save urs bulbs from rocks.

    as far as the protection goes, its in the works, but not high on my list. why you might ask? well, glass headlights have been in use for a very long time. from time to time they do break but not often. these are much smaller than most headlight assemblies, made of thicker glass, and are hidden away and protected during roughly 80% of the time that im driving. The biggest deciding factor is that my stock glass housing take up roughly twice as much space, are less than a quarter the thickness and have never broken. Im not saying that they wont break, buit its highly unlikely.

    yeah, you could say that ive been there from time to time. These are actually just halogen versions of e55's. luckily though, they are one of the few projectors that are halogen that will still return a great looking beam pattern with a hid system.

    nice retro-fit. I bet a set of angel eyes in place of the rectangular lights would look killer!
