i can relate. except ours might have been worse. idk. but the city drainage system was messed up one night, and our water wasn't going down right. well, after a while water started backing up in our toilets, sinks, and tubs. so me and my mom went to a hotel, and my dad came back here til like 2am waiting for the city to get out here and get into the man-hole in our yard. it eventuallly stopped, but it was muggy, smelled for several days and probly 70% of the carpet in our house had to be ripped up to prevent mold and mildew. then we got those big *** de-humidifiers and blowers and everything cleared up. city wouldn't pay for damages to our house. go figure. so now we have bare concrete/carpet/fake tile (plastic lookin stuff) as our floors. sucks.

damn sorry to hear that raf.

We had a flood once. The creek next to our house was going in the back door and out the front lol. I know how ya feel. sucks. After ya get it try get a dehumidifier and watch for mold. We ended up having to replace everything.

It's smells like pussy gone bad in the bottom 1/2 of my house....

Seems like the carpet isn't going to be ****ed up... they are going to have to take apart a whole bunch of walls because wate seeped in, and they're scared that the wood inside will rot....

    : sigh :

    man this place stinks.......

    Peace,

    Rafster

    Yeah,

That's why they're taking apart the walls... As soon as I get a chance I'll post pic of what they did to the walls....

    Peace,

Sorry to hear about the water mess... My fathers company (which I work for) specializes in insurance repairs such as this (fires, floods, autos crashing into buildings, etc). The fans and de-humidifiers are typical. They will probably take off any baseboard on the walls where it got wet and poke some holes w/ like a 1" drill to let it air out, sometimes they will cut the bottom of the drywall out 6" high or so depending on how high the water seeped up it. Mold generally isnt a problem as long as everything is dried out quickly. From looking at the pictures doesnt look too bad.. We've been called out to buildings/houses where the roofs caved in during heavy rain and flooded whole houses.. one lady lived at the bottom of a hill with a curve, and her front yard and house was lower than the curb actually.. it had a drain gutter in it but filled up too fast, water went over the curb to her house, the water/debris line on the front of her house was over 18" high! 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large livingroom got all flooded.. it was horrible.. her pool in the backyard got covered with like a foot of MUD too! We had another family had 2nd stairs shower pipe break and flooded all upstairs and all downstairs completely.. they were gone on vacation.. we estimated the water ran for over 24 hours.. nearly rebuilt their entire house from the ground up while they lived in a hotel for 7 months! good luck with the repairs ! Keep them fans on as long as you can withstand them.. but if you turn them off at night or just put them on low should be ok.. but check w/ the contractor first
