    remember vin diesel in the scene after the big race talking about double clutching. maybe they have that kind of setup. 1L-1H-2L-2H, etc?

    double clutching is from the days before syncromesh and you had to force gear changes.

    Yeah double clutching is for big rigs... only place it fits into the movie is when they are trying to "jack the truck."

    hahaha... you should hear all the jack-asses that wanted to know how to double clutch on the cavalier webboard that i visit every now and then. right after the movie came out, that was posted about 5 times a day. i wish i could reach out and slap some people through my computer. sigh, maybe some day.

    FWIW, I double clutch when downshifting all the time. Saves wear on the syncros...Of course, you don't need to do it on any modern consumer transmission.

    true, it is benficial for downshifting, although i rpm match with the clutch still in when im downshifting. but since they were talking about using it when racing, it is a load of crap.
