Highly suggest it. Cured my problems.
    I have to get that.
I have my alarm set for 3, yeah 3 different times. 10 minutes apart and I still over sleep. Majority of the time I don't even hear the alarm and when I wake up I noticed i over slept 2 hours.

If you want to get better, than you will get better. Sometimes you have to man up and take responsibility for yourself.

well i guess all the books written on addiction are wrong right? I understand what you are saying, in YOUR head, its easy to say, "well just stop doing it". But for someone who is addicted, it isnt that easy. Until youve had to deal with it, you really have no idea what its like.

You could be right...To me, it is just a matter of not doing it or doing it in moderation. I really think that all these so-called disorders are made up to make people feel that they are not in control of their own lives. Again, this is my opinion, whether you agree or not is up to you.

    @motorcity:
You try living w/ an "alcoholic" mother for 28 years, who claims to give up the sauce, only to go back to it repeatedly and let's see how jaded you become. As I said in response to nappyjim, to me it's just as simple as not doing it. When I smoked weed and I was smoking a lot, I realized that I was neglecting important things and stopped. If I go out to a bar, I stop myself after a couple of drinks, b/c I know that I have to. I understand that all my actions have consequences. I take responsibilty for myself and know my limits, I just don't understand how others can not do the same. So to me it's just a matter of discipline. I guess some have it and others claim they are powerless to a "disorder."

Like I said, it's my opinion and feeling on the matter of these types of disorders...Anyway, I hope Fusion gets the help he needs, whether he moderates his net habits or hits a support group...

Your opinion is in direct opposition to scientific fact. But I guess we should respect your opinion that the world is flat, also.

If you have not experienced an addiction, good for you. Be thankful. But don't talk down to people that have addictions. That's as ridiculous as telling someone with cancer, "Man up. You can get well if you just want to bad enough."

Addictions are often caused by the body's inability to produce or receive endorphins correctly. So the person finds a substance to replace the endorphins, or a behavior that produces them. The body gets physically addicted to this "artificial normalcy", for lack of a better term.

Fusion-one, look for a psychologist who practices with a psychiatrist. Don't take meds unless you absolutely need them. But don't allow a strictly behavioral psychologist tell you that you can always change your reactions.

You are a cock, bro. Cancer and these "disorders" are 2 totally different things. Cancer is a disease, these "disorders" are bull****.

Fusion can go get help if he wants it and only if he wants it. Through the use of discipline. If these people had exhibited control going in, then they would not have a dependency on said substances which would make kicking the habit much easier. I may not have had an addiction, but I attribute that to my determination not to let something control my life. Do things in moderation.

As for talking down to people, I'll speak however I like. Who are you to judge my ideas and how I feel on the subject? Fusion posted his "disorder" on the net for all to see, I gave him my ideas on the matter and supported my ideas. You may not like what I have to say, but I'll keep on saying what I think.

On the subject of cancer, I've had a grandfather pass away due to cancer, so I know a bit about that and I KNOW that's not a made up "disorder" like the bull**** that gets passed for a "disorder" in today's world. When I say man up, I mean take responsibility for yourself and get whatever help you need. just b/c I think something is BS, doesn't mean there aren't support groups out there to help...

I do tend to agree somewhat with migel....... even those with psycological disorders CAN curb there behavior & CAN do what they KNOW is right.... if they only don't think to themselves "I can't control it" or it's because of this or because of that.... ****, now adays take anyone to a psyciatrist & they'll be diagnosed with something.... from add to whatever.... I personally think everyone is disturbed in there own unique way... but to just sit back & say i can't help it is bull....

having will power can be one of the toughest things to do.... giving up & saying I can't control it is just an excuse....... & the easy way out...

I have grown up with mental illness around me & addiction also in family members, so my opinion is based on my observations..... even if you want to allow some blame to go to an illness or imbalance, you have to only give that partial credit at best......

nicotine is addictive on the pysical level too..... but if you have enough willpower & desire you can still overcome it, watch how many people quit cold turkey when the doctor tells them there going to die, even after many failed attempts in the past.......... you just have to want it bad enough & believe you can do it..... sitting here & saying "awh poor you" can't help & it isn't going to help......

Wow. What a small, pathetic mind you have. It sounds a lot like. "I have my mind made up. Don't bother me with the facts." Since you know so much more than countless biochemists and physicians, I can see that any further attempt at reason or logic will be wasted on you.
