Thread: Some dick tried to scam me with Tool tickets

I just filed a detailed complaint with the IC3. Hopefully I can wreck this guy's whole operation; getting my money back would'n't be bad either.

BUYER BEWARE....I was checking Craigslist the other day and came across a great deal on 4 Madonna Tickets for the montreal show...although it seemed too good to be true i got really excited!! I got suspicious when the tracking of the package would only work from the link in the email and not on the TNT website...i did a bit of further checking and found this thread...DAMN!!! I am happy i did not send the funds!!!

I didn't respond to this one, but I just thought I would add another case to the list.

Add Hillary A. Clark and Philipp McFinn to the list of scam alert names when buying things online and the seller wants you to wire money to TNT through Western Union.

Total scam. Elaborate, and set up well. Read about it a hundred times on the internet, only the scammer uses different names with the same procedure and email format.

The emails are sent through hotmail, under a domain of @group-tnt.com or hillary.clark@yahoo.com . I'm guessing they have hundreds of names and domains to choose from.

So, for whatever reason, I was reminded of this event again tonight and began to see red once more. I went on Craigslist and within five minutes found a sale that has identical traits to how the guy/guys operate (4 tickets, 4th row, high demand sports event that's already sold out). I shot off an email under a new address and name and await his response.

The IC3 has not contacted me yet. It's been quite awhile. If they read my complaint, I don't understand why the guy volunteering evidence wouldn't be so much as emailed. But no matter, by the end of next week they'll be more sick of me than this asswipe will.

Just got scammed for over $600 from Craigslist. I have been researching this whole scam and came upon a few of your articles. In one, you say that a victim called the police on this scam.
Is there an update to the story?This all just happened last week to me while trying to buy Chicago Bears tickets.
I just wanted to know if there was an update on what is going on.

Hey! I would also like know if there is an update to the guy calling the police. I also got scammed last week for $400.
