Not exactly. THey'd have to invade first, and that would cost almost as many lives as the Jewish casualties in the Holocaust. I'm not an American is always right and justified guy, sometimes they're not , but sometimes, like that case, they are, and hard decisions had to be made. If any japanese born person or someone who had famaily who immigrated form japan after WWII as a problme wiht what i'm saying, just understnad that if the bombs WEREn'T dropped, your family would more than likely have been killed in the onslaught of the invasion. After the Emporer's decree, there were no more civilians,just untrained soldiers. You know the culture of the time and you know most would fight to the death
