    Talking My Burnout

Check it out. A bunch of RX-7 guys got together for some go-kart racing, and of course afterwards there was the obligatory parking-lot-burnouts. I think I won, as I left a 50 foot long black mark down the middle of the parking lot.

The car in the picture is my "winter beater" RX-7, which I am still driving since my good '86 is still under the knife (turbo install)...

Wow....looks like a lotta power you have there. I never have seen an RX-7 like that before, it really reminds me of the older 300ZX's though.

Not particularily powerful... I believe the factory spec is 101HP from the 1.1 litre engine...But it's a light car and really scoots when you get into the gas.

No bleach. That's a pure and simple brake stand. Takes a little practice, but once you get the technique down it's not too hard...You'll probably roast a few clutches in the process though...

Warning smoking can damage your health.

All that from a 101 bhp car, I might have to start tuning up the Mini

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

I have done that (cram on the parking brake and floor it), but I go through front tires like crazy as it is. 196 HP here and I couldn't imagine it if I were to use bleach.

    That ASCII thing is incredible!

FWIW, I will post a decent burnout pic when I finish working on my '86....Going for 250HP to start, then up to 300 when things are tuned.....300 is about the maximum that stock engine will take, and about the point where the turbo starts puking oil...
