Thread: How did you meet your SO?

At a small bar in Detroit, 15 years ago. She was the cook.

I'm a Kiwi, I went to the UK, specifically London, with my girlfriend of 2 years. She lasted there 4 months and wanted to go home. I let her leave. It was kind of hearbreaking, but it had to be done. Really I had no choice in the matter.

So, about 3 weeks later, after a couple of brief flings, I ended up in the Walkabout in Shepards Bush with a couple of pommie mates. They started talking with these ladies. I started taking with the quiet one. I bought her a Strongbow. Then, there was a powercut. Finally we could have a sensible conversation with lowered bg noise. Anyway, we were in this corner, having a go, and this girl walks up and says, 'Hey, do you know each other?' I said yes, she said no.

So toward the end of the evening, my pickup line was. 'If we hadn't got so drunk together, I'd like to go for a coffee with you, problem is, I have no idea where I am, where I'm supposed to go next, or how to get home'

So I got taken home to her place. Which was good, 7 girls living in the same 3br house. I'd stay over often and cook them all pancakes for breakfast, repair broken applicances and go partying.... Its been about 8 years now and we have moved back to Aussie, bought a house, got some animals, but I do miss a bunch of chicks walking about in their skimpies, awaiting the next pancake and saying, feral darling, can you fix this?
