Beats me. What would it be logged as?
I honestly couldn't tell you. I've seen the errors or warnings before. Why do you think you've got a client with bad DSL service?

Well just the opposite. They're connecting to some inventory server in CA from here in NM using telnet thru a VPN connection. What'll happen is the VPN will drop connection, then reconnect pretty quickly. But, when that happens, their telnet session disconnects, and when they try to reconnect, they have to call the company in CA because their session is still open on the server, so they can't connect until it gets reset.
Now the company in CA thinks its a DSL issue, but I don't think so. They think my client's DSL is diconnecting every so often. But from what I can tell, it's rock solid. I just needed a program that would log it so I could prove to them it's not the connection.
I think those Actiontec DSL modems do have some kind of log thingy, I'll have to check. In the meantime, if you guys come across anything, let me know.
Thanks!
Do it the simple way.
start --> run --> cmd enter
ping 127.0.0.1 -t > c:\Pinglog.txt
it will run until you press ctrl break
Search for the textfile for connection problems.
Only problem is there is no time indication so you dont know what time it disconnected.
There are programs out there. I just dont remeber them.
Hopes this helps a bit
Have had this issue with an DSL router before client would randomly get disconnected whilst using VPN and RDP switched routers and problem went away
Also took client a couple of months to tell me as it was randomly happening so did not immediately check router and spent time checkin elsewhere

Interesting, I do have a different brand DSL modem/router I could try, thanks esky. I'll give that a shot.
