idiots cant drive or get out of the way

i figured i had to post this somewhere because its getting on my nerves to the point where i want to run down anyone that does it

im sure some of you can remmber the times you are driving down the left lane making good time and then running into idiots doing well bellow your speed and not using the right lane like they should, even if its empty, even if there are 2 right lanes, and even if they are going the exact same speed or slow than the people to the right.

i've ran into several of jackasses last friday night driving home down the highway and for the most part the slow moving cars that shouldnt be in the left lane anyway move when they see me coming, but some just ignore you and cause me to slam on the breaks, honk at em, and flip out while they still sit way over in the left lane all alone doing the speed limit

any comments? i've never seen crap like this in europe, only time ive ever gone into the left lane is to pass, but these certain jackasses over here in canada/usa just decide to drive w.e speed they want in the left lane and **** off quite too many people and force many drivers to pass then on the right and swing around

ok... seems to me that you are new to the "new world" I'm from europe too, and fully understand you reasoning, but you'll learn, that there's no way around it. If you wanna go fast, than start zig-zagging, b/c those folks won't move an inch. There is no such thing as drivin culture over here in the US of A. So you havwe to deal with it. It bothered me as well the first 2 years, but now i got used to it, and just hang out after one of those folk... You'll learn a lot of patience in this cxountry my friend... Oh, and Welcome...

i just dont understand it at all. im germany im pretty sure id get arrested for obstructing traffic doing what these bastards do, i cant believe its so common.

i learned to drive on the right and pass on the left, if im gonna stay left means im constantly passing and going much faster than anyone that is right and that the right lane is full, otherwise im back in the right lane as soon as i get past the first car.

but here my god, on some days they are somewhat like that and ok, on most though my god they just fly infront of you into the left lane when a car passes them thinking o00 look i can drive fast after him, then they dont keep up, leave a huge gap, and you are stuck behind them wondering what the heck do i do now when the right two lanes are all blocked up, all thats left on most days is praying for a gap, shifting it down and going around em on the right .. dont forget to honk and give him the finger though :@

That is why they are called speed LIMITS.
Slow down. People swerving in and out of lanes cause accidents. If you are late for something, too bad. Leave earlier next time. I don't know about Canada, but in the US driving is a Privledge, not a right. If you get upset when someone doing the posted speed "slows" you down, then quite simply don't drive. Walk, ride a bike or use public transit. You don't own the road, and you have no right to ***** at or about other drivers for obeying the law.
I am not trying to direct anger or hostility toward you directly, just kind of took your post to heart. My 3yr old nephew was killed by a speeding driver.

I know that the left lane is assumed to be the passing lane, but in many of the states (not sure aboot canada) no lane is legally designated as the passing lane. However, it is still annoying when someone goes slow in the left lane.

    unreleated
I would like to see what the statistics are of the colors of cars that have been hit (where the driver of this car was not at fault). Driving around in a light blue car the other day, it seemed that nobody could see me. I was nearly ran off the road 4 times in a 2 hour time period.

i dont even know what the law says about that in Canada but when i drive in the US i see signs every once in a while clearly stating "slower moving traffic keep right" i dont know why people dont just follow that law if they wont atleast follow the "unwritten rules of the road" if you want to call it that

i think you are right and make a point and there are too many idiots that cause such problems, especially in cities. when in the city i dont ever speed or drive like a maniac. on the highway i like to stay in the left lane and go just enough over the limit where they wont touch you. in my area the limit is 100 but the average speed on the highway is more like 110, 120 is standard in the middle lane, and 130-140 if not more is not uncommon in the left lane. the problem is when someone decides to go 100 in the left lane, it is pointless and tends to get on the nerves of too many drivers. especially the ones you mention that cause such tragic accidents on the road.

lol dude you'll get used to it. There's lots of people out there that shouldn't have their drivers lisences. I know for a fact of 4 DMV's near me that are very leanient on testing new drivers, most of the people in highschool go there to get tested because they'll pass pretty much anyone.

Also I see you to have either a matrix or a vibe, check out www.matrixowners.com (even if you have a vibe, there's lots of people on there with vibes, it's a pretty open and friendly community). I too got a PC in my matrix, have only had it in for about a month or so now and I'm loving it...just not the glare :P.

The problem is that most people lose touch with reality in their vehicles. To most, their car/truck/SUV is their "safe zone" and they render themselves king of the ******* world, and ignore anything else that goes on around them, including other drivers, pedestrians, the general flow of traffic, and the laws they are supposed to obey.
It's dangerous, although they either don't realize that or don't give a rat's *** or both.

pasic, I hate it, too. When I pull up on some slow-moving moron in the left lane and signal with my lgihts that I want to pass and they don't, I usually get a dirty look as I go by on the left, despite the fact that there are signs all along the freeway that say LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING ONLY.

I truly believe that the requirements for obtaining a driver's liscense in this country are far too lenient. There really should be an IQ and/or common sense test in there somewhere.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
