I had no idea there was so much angst and resentment between senior members here. Not a healthy environment for anyone to play in, especially noobs. And I'm suprised that mods and admins appear to be restrained when dealing with some of the other senior members who routinely "cross the line". It must be self evident for the senior members to recognize the capability and knowledge level of some noobs questions by the way it's worded and phrased. At least I usually can myself on my other site (MX-3.com). From there it's usually quite easy to give an appropriate response that's geared to the level of knowledge and competance percieved. Approaching each question in this manner may yield better results, shorter and more informative threads and foster a healthier and happier environment that will invite more noobs to be more particpatory in the future.
Noobs can serve as a viable resource since their perspective, experience level and knowledge could be easily shared and understood by other noobs. If this is a BB strictly designed for the elitists than it may serve to make that disclaimer in the onset. Like scouse mentioned, I thought this was a BB for the enthusiast. Where there's a common bond or passion for their ride and the desire to intigrate a PC into that ride. Not a PC only BB, cause I'm sure there's lots of those around. Am I missing the mark here? Or am I in the wrong place to begin with? A CarPC BB, not a car BB and not a PC BB.
Anyway, I will endeavour to be as well researched as possible when posing future questions. I'll also know that, when/if I get flamed, that I'll have to consider the source, not lower myself to those levels, or reciprocate in kind, and to take what I need and leave the rest behind. I thank all those that were kind enough to post positive/informative responses so far. This has definitely been an eye opener for me. Like my sig says, "steep learning curve" here. Emphasis is on LEARNING, cheers,
John
