Wireless Central Locking Installation

Hey im looking for advice on how to install my newly purchased Black Widow BW100CDL Central Locking Kit. I have posted pictures of my door mechanism which is from a 1969 Dodge Phoenix but the problem is i do not know where to place the motor... any advice would be appreciated!

The motor looks like this?

It should have a small rectangular shaped piece with 2 screws in it with 2 holes - put your factory lock rod in one hole, and the actuator motor rod in the other, so when the actuator extends, it pushes/pulls the door lock rod. Find a spot where you can mount the motor using the supplied bracket...

yep thats the problem, i have done all that, but i dont think the rectangular shaped holder is holding it firmly enough because when i push the button, nothing.

this is where im up to at the moment. I did install the little metal hook thing and attached it to the original lock rod but when i pressed the button it moved but didnt unlock it.

mount the actuator to somewhere solid and make it's tight (toit, like a toiger.. i love gold), umm... where was i. This is very important because if the actuator is not fixed firmly, instead of locking/unlocking the door, it'll be doing an imitation of a yoyo on the connector rod or just moving freely like whats happening now, too much play in the mounting or connecting points. ok. Connect (solder or some some other method) that metal rod to the locking pin thats supposed to stick out of the door pannel. The actuator does not have to be exactly inline with the locking pin, you can bend the metal rod which came with the actuator, just make sure it's parallel with the direction of the lock pin's travel.

the motor is in place in the picture and is held in pretty solidly. also, my factory lock rod is behind a side wall in my door which doesnt let me solder the connector. The only thing i could do was put the screws in to hold it. which did not work.

This should be a straight forward install, not much can go wrong with connecting and mounting. I assume the actuator is not malfunctioning. Also a bit tricky because the car wasn't designed for central lock so you'll have to chose your own install points and connection method, but the kit looks like universal so it should not take too many mods to make it work. If it's not a bad install, maybe something or damaged with the locking mechanism or rod or maybe somthing got snagged on something else like a window frame or a door beam?

just an update.
havent installed it yet, waiting for some time.

but the only problem i see in the install is that the metal rod i am supposed to connect to the original locking rod is not tight enough when the acuator pulls up and down so instead of pulling the lock up, it just moves the rod....

suggestions?

you just gotta make the 'coupler' as tight as possible with the two rods, in other words, there should be no play - as soon as the actuator rod moves, it should push/pull the factory rod with it with no slippage....crank down those phillips head screws good and tight.
