Smile Linux is comming to a store near you

Thought this might be of interest, and could it be the start of the end for M$?

And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

Yeah, I read that on Slashdot this morning. I hope it lives up to expectations, and doesn't disappoint people.

I used to use linux all the time, but I found with my older computer, games seemed to run better on windows, and (before mozilla was popular) netscape seemed to crash more than IE. so I got out of the habit. as soon as I can scrape together some blank cds, I will be downloading redhat 7.3 though.

I was looking at SUSE at bestbuy, the sales guy came up to me, said "you don't want that, you want this!" and hands me XP. I just looked at him, and told him he had just lost a sale, and walked away.

interesting.... tackling Linux is one of my 'to-do' items further down the track..... now that I am heavy into mySQL/php I might setup a second PC as a linux webserver......

a Linux mp3car app would be the best tho.... oneday, maybe..!

I wonder how good Lindows is? I remember they got in a bit of hot water with M$ a little while back over their choice of name.... must have overcome that hurdle tho.... good luck to em I say!

If you review my issues with linux you will see that i started clearly some of the issues the average jeo user will encounter..... NOTICE what they stated at that page. Beleive me, if this turns out to be true with this release then they have listened to me

Please go search for my older posts....also i have argued this alot on #mp3car
