Definately Internet radio, the number of available options alone is incredible. And you don't have to just use shoutcast. I have my internet radio playlists setup to use numerous non-shoutcast audio feeds, too, i.e., podcasts, talk radio, sports radio, and internet feeds of AM/FM radio stations from home and abroad.

I agree with that also. I would think that if I'm going to pay a monthly fee anyway for XM, why not pay they same money (or whatever the difference is) for a high speed internet card and be able to stream radio over the web AND browse HTTP sites and do everything possible.... But thats just my opinion....

Neither. I want Sirius, and I will get it eventually.

I have a large enough music collection that I can duplicate any Shoutcast station that I'd care to listen to.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

The only reason I ever listen to any type of radio is for new music or things I haven't heard before. I like internet radio but most are regurgitating regular radio. So I think that is where satelite radio beats internet radio. It's a toss up.

I'd love www.pandora.com in my car. Much more flexible than Shoutcast, as you specify what songs you like and it builds a playlist from there, and, my favorite advantage over Shoutcast, you can skip songs.

XM and Sirius have very little in the way of music that I like, so that's out. I might end up using Shoutcast if I can get a mobile phone with enough bandwidth working with my Toshiba e350 PDA, as the PDA is not beefy enough to handle Pandora.

Why didn't you include the better satellite provider in the poll? No question...Sirius it is.

Man, I have to admit... Pandora is pretty cool! I've never seen this before, but after playing with it for a few minutes... I'm hooked.

And just FYI: There's two options in the poll Satellite VS Internet. Not XM vs Shoutcast.... So Sirius and XM is ONE selection
