Allright dude, you get my point....and I am sure in ~5 years they will make great cars...like I said, once they have eliminated all the old Americaness like town and country and pt cruiser.

If you give me a 07 LS460 (LS460L is better) and a 07 Benz S500, I will take the LS without 2nd thought. Benz these day is just as suck as Chrysler.
I drove both of them already, and no, I don't have money for neither one of them. Oh yeah a set of chrome wheels on the LS cost 12 kilobucks. Crazy.

Germans are always on the kick they don't make bad products. It's never their fault if a part fails.

Problem is when it does break..it's uber expensive.

Take this from someone who works in an Automotive Warranty department for the worlds largest OEM parts supplier owned by Germans.

? Well dude you should take a test drive in both, and then decide. I just grew up in German cars, and I will never drive a ricer, everything on them just looks cheap, squeaks. When I first saw Japanese luxury cars I was like wtf? they call that luxury?...nobody even drives them in Europe, the Acura TL is the Honda Accord in Europe..if you told somebody there it is a luxury car they would laugh their a$s of.

vws are (were) cheaper to buy considering what you get. they have to make their money somewhere....they make it in parts.

Well like I said Chrysler parts are WAY more expensive...I can tell you stories about our chrysler dealer, it is not even funny. If I need anything I get it off ebay (oem parts) a lot cheaper. The oem vw parts are not that expensive in Germany, so I guess the official import duties and transport really adds up. They're just real import parts and not like Toyota parts made in Oklahoma...

Yup S550 I mean. Did I said I already drove both (well the S is 06 model when I drove it).
Com'on, You can compare any german luxury cars with Acuras. Honda made good engine but not luxury yet.

True...we are the red-headed step child that was neglected in our early years from mother Britain. We grew up having to bully to get our way.

Correction:

Germans know how to make good over-engineered expensive cars
Americans make cars to last just long enough outside of the warranty period.
Japs know how to make cheap yet reliable cars.

Added: Americans can build it, make it, or put it together as long as someone else designs it. But if we design it and make it that's usually asking for trouble...
