    Psychology!

Hey all, this is about as off topic as it gets. I am doing a survey for my psychology class and need as many results as possible!

What would you prefer if you were to participate in an experiment; psychological fear or physical pain?

Discussion and asking for clarification is totally fine, and explanation for your answer is even better. Thanks!

*EDIT* The Male and Female in () is to indicate your sex. Thanks, sorry if that was confusing

    Option 2, physical pain.

You can heal your injuries, but it'll be harder to fix psychological damage to your head. you might go crazy.

It actually took me longer to figure out male/female then it did to decide between physical pain and mental agony. I would rather have the **** kicked out of me, then have it scared out.

you forget physical pain after a while. Psychological wounds can last a life time.

Example: children of drunk looser parents grow up carrying deep emotional scars that just do not go away. Some say grow up, move on, blah blah blah. But you never forget what it felt like being chosen second over a bar stool. Even worse is when one of these children is an asthmatic (from birth) and the said looser drunk parents also smoke like chimneys. Wouldn't even go outside to lightup. Rather choke out their own flesh and blood than be inconvenienced over a cigarette.

wtf? ya, a straight up ghetto style *** whoopin hurts much less.

I'd rather Option 1... You can usually go to a therapist and fix Psycological stuff.... but physical keeps hurting...especially if it includes mutilating body parts... I won't get too much more into it... but think of the Saw series movies...

me too, you cant make the crazy, crazy.

I kinda enjoy pain but my body is already shot. We can over come psychological fear (imo) of course i was always one of those weirdo that never got scared at haunted houses. So either way really for me. I just dont want to be more crippled than i already am.

I thought I would add that it is possible for physical pain to instill psychological damage. Being put through extreme agony wouldn't likely just be forgotten the next day! Though it probably wouldn't cause any phobic disorders like psychological fear might.
