LOL wow... thats impressive...
Now I ask, since I seen the "Wizards of Winter" version... Is this based on a Christmas display controller? Like the Olsen 595 or something like it?
My Dad was real into Christmas Lights this year and he learned all about it, and we had a pretty nice display too... But is this built on the same concept?
And is this a "working and running" vehicle? Or is it only a show vehicle... If you do use it to drive around, how do you set the lights to work as usual (for braking and such), and then run like this- blinking to the music?
TIA and sorry for all of the questions![]()

The display is controlled by a 3 channel color organ custom modified to work in the car. I believe it is different that the Display controller you are talking about.
Yes this is a working a running car. I uses diodes to isolate the power from my color organ controller.
Very cool... Any pictures or links to the controller your using?
When you say color organ I think of one of those keyboard/pianos at Wal-Mart that light up, so I can honestly say I have no idea what your talking aboutBut it sounds pretty cool....

Seems to have a little lag to it. Do you manually program it to go with the song or does it work off vibrations? ...or maybe it interfaces with the computer and analyzes the music that way?
I was reading a bit about it and it could work a couple different ways ~ they have boards that will work off of frequencies, usually the board will have 3 or 4 output signals that would break up the audio input signal into low/mid/high frequencies and light up the output signals accordingly... and they have boards that have built in microphones as well that will work off of audible sound so you do not have to have a direct audio connection. Does not seem like it would be a complicated process... reminds me of the clap on/clap off commercials that used to play on TV.

It has a problem with really load sounds and I am working on an automatic gain control. Take a look at this link... It is stickly a hardware item... no computer.

Forget the lights! (very cool, but...) The Car! Major enviage going on here...
The BTTF theme is the best, if not terribly spectacular light-wise, it just seems to fit better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZmXtvQQNYg
All Your Base is the best - hands down.
Did you re-record the audio over the vids, or is that raw from the car stereo?
Oh ya - any tips for finding decent Delorans?
