I say go for it if you can. Make sure they cover the cost of the move!
I visited Australia and New Zealand awhile back and I would LOVE to live there. Sydney is a big, cosmopolitan city but there's only a couple of big cities and lots and lots of empy space in between. We found Aussies to be very friendly and stuff pretty much works like it's supposed to. Just lots less people!
Make sure you check out New Zealand. If they offer you NZ, take that first! Beautiful country, more sheep than people, too.

If I couldn't live in Australia, I would definately go to NZ. I spent about 4 months there with work and loved it. The scenery is awesome as BB said. The only problems with NZ are too many sheep and too many Kiwi's (New Zealanders).
j/k on the second one. Got to keep the AUS - NZ rivalry going
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
Yip New Zealand is definitely the place to live. I should know, I've been living here for nearly 24 years and can't imagine living anywhere else (mainly coz i've never lived anywhere else for a long period of time). Australia is awesome too. Though i find its just good for holidays, visiting the relatives, etc... Its also far too hot, but then again Ozy's think its to cold over here.
We are, will have and forever will be...
But not tommorrow!

90k is a very reasonable wage. The average is around the 50k mark across the country. Sydney is definatley more expensive to live than say Brisbane, however the wage is generally hgher there too.
I've had alot of friends who have lived there for period of time and all of them have said the increased wage far outweighs the increase in living costs.
The East cost of Aus is the most populated area in the country, with Brisbane/Gold Coast and Melbourne only an hour by jet from Sydney.
The train system in Sydeny is reported to be the worst in the world, however I believe the buses and ferries etc are quite good. If they let you down you could just ride an emu or kangaroo to work. Depends on where you're going I guess.
Also L.A has a population of around 4.5m people? That's around a 5th of the entire Australian Population!
I installed my carpc into my pet Kangaroo, mate.
