    96 Impala SS

    My '99 maxima SE lim 5spd got totaled ( soccer mom+tundra+rain+obstructed stop sign{for her} = flat maxima^hurt me)

So i now have a '96 IMPALA SS (see left)
intake+ cat back, puts out a bit over 300 HP on the butt dyno (recently calibrated) with plans for more

Does anyone else have a '94-96 SS? I'm starting over with the carputer and audio sys.

I love those SS impala...but i can't see myself driving one. I raced one that was highly moded, full suspension work and other goodies, but i still smoked him
    Nice car though.

I am thinking about getting a 92 Caprice Classic, which is basically the same thing. I got a zz4 crate motor for it sitting in the garage. But i might go for a 2L turbo Import.

A question to the owners: Were the Impala SS's available in 5-speed form? Anyone?

I'm not an owner, but as far as I know (pretty far) they did NOT come with any manual transmission. However, I have seen several cars that have been converted over to 5 and 6 speed transmissions.
