Possible other sites (particularly interested in Canada):

    gasbuddy.com (aka: canadagasprices.com) searchable with

GasPriceSearch.aspx?fuel=A&qsrch=L7L5V4 (as an example) returns price, city, address

Development has kind of stalled on this at the moment.

I don't think I am doing the graphics right, or if I am it's kind of clunky.

When I was devloping this with thehlp opf justchat it seemed the plugin structure was in it's early stages and as I was finding the grpahics side clunky I thought it would be best to leave it until the plkugin structure had been devloped fully.

I was hoping that JC would have given me a heads up if the plugin structure is in a viable state to work with.

Yes, for your case, I believe the data provider plugin basis has been finished (It's implemented in both the OM Weather, and OM Contacts plugins). If you need help in getting certain areas, you can ask here or PM. Not sure if you have been keeping up, but we are currently rewriting the graphics engine to support hardware acceleration, but that should not hinder your plugin if you base it on the 0.7 release.

Well I could do with having a base(source code in vb.net 2005) data provider plugin, without the url and any of the website scraping, so I can see how you are handling the skinning side, which is where I find what I have had to work with so far, poor.

A lot of it is just different.... people are used to the rr style of skinning (hasn't changed much in the last 8 or so years) and the CF style of skinning is kinda similar to web design (except slow). OM is the first to use compiled skins which for devs are much easier then any of the other approaches but for non-programmers its more of a learning curve then even rr skinning. We are working on a much more intuitive skinning system for our users but that will require A LOT of work to deliver the experience we had planned.

I think the easiest way is to just ask about parts that your struggling with or things thats dont feel right and we can take it step by step (we now have a vb dev on the team who can let me know i'm giving you the complicated answer to an easy question).

Unfortunately the prices are displayed as graphics and not text.

I did have a source for aussie prices which I had working in the CF Fuelprices plugin, but that has now stopped supplying fuel prices.

ALso I don't think OMFuelPrices will be happening from me, at least not in the short term.

Howeever when I release a new RR and CF version, because of the way I ma doing it, there will be a DLL available which may be hooked into by OM developers. (But it will only work on windows so I don't know if they will be interested)
