True, however, not all of us will be online 24/7.
I'll be lucky to find a hotspot once a day ...
You have a pop-in (favorites) on the right, anything gonna pop-in on the left?
loving the favorites button. So many people only use there front end for a few things but yet are overwhelmed with buttons and key strokes(tapping the screen). This will surely make things easier. Excellent work.

There is really no order to the idicators. They are all dynamic, and are loaded as they are initialized, so whatever order that turns out to be.
Volume slider comes in from the left. Volume Up or Down will trigger the animation, allowing for fine volume adjustment from the buttons, or large volume adjustment with the slider.
Looks fantastic!
How easy will it be for an end user to configure those buttons to use different images, and launch external apps?
Ok, need to know opinions on how the design will perform in day and night environments. We strive to keep highest contrast possible (Black/White) in the areas that the user will need to focus on (such as buttons, and displaying data) but also do so in a graphically rich manner.
Let us know.
i think it looks great-- though a trouble spot i see is the song info-- on my current setup, i am constantly looking at this, so that area might also need need some high contrast texture...

Easy enough. As you can see, it's darkest where the Info begins (since we read left to right) and fades to transparent at the furthest end. I'll tweak the transparency to bring out the contrast, and maintain the fluidity of the design.
Appreciate the comment, anything else?

Is this better in your opinion? Used a different background for others to see how it looks on a different background, and maybe identify any other areas for improvement. Tweaked the transparency, so it's darker at the Media Info. If I need to post on the other background, let me know.

i think it looks great! another option that i thought of while comparing the 2 is that you could also use a lighter screen like from the first idea, but then use a font that has white lettering with a black outline-- i think that would also help make the wording standout from whatever background color is being displayed. but either idea should have a high contrast, while still looking good..
otherwise, i think that the layout looks great--the media controls are where i expect them-- the main ones i would use are play/pause, and next track..
i personally don't use volume controls(i use a physical volume control--any software based control is too slow for me), and always keep my music on shuffle(it would be fine if this option stayed in the music setup), so i won't use either, but think that they need to be there for others...
